West Side Fest (2023)

As a member of the West Side Cultural Network, Salvador spearheaded the ideation and production of the inaugural West Side Fest, an annual festival celebrating the rich cultural offerings on Manhattan’s West Side. Working with 21 participating organizations, Salvador led the visioning process for the festival, designing and implementing a collaborative, consensus-based program development strategy to meet the unique needs of each institution. The day-long festival offered 15 programs, received support from six founding sponsors, was featured in six broadcast stories, received a proclamation from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and welcomed over 50,000 visitors. Building on this success, the festival expanded to three days in 2024 in response to overwhelming demand.
